Question Caridina cf. cantonensis 'Bee' (Bee/Black Bee/Diamond/Black & White Crystal)

    Hello all

I am new to breeding and identification on certain types. I am hoping to gain correct identification and infomation on my little beauty here.

I understand it to be a bred form of the bee or bee diamond depending on where you live. Or is it a black/white CRS. Is it all of the above? It was given to me kindly by a friend. Is it suitable to broaden the gene pool of my CRS?

I greatly appreciate infomation provided by users on this site it has helped me alot.

    Hi,
REN is right. It's a typical bee aka diamond aka black & white aka black crystal shrimp. They got a lot of names to sell them better but the normal common name would be "bee shrimp". They got the name about 20 years ago from the first hobbiest in Japan and Germany who kept this species.

Take also a look in the Species List. The articles are a good help to identify the species and to learn more about them. Many new users seem to forget this part of the website, so I mentioned it again.

    best regards

    Robert
