Default crystal red shrimp setup. Opinions?

In a 12"x12"x24" long 15g (57L) tank I have replaced the substrate with Aqua Soil Amazonia a few days ago and the PH is now reading 7.0 which is close to what I was hoping for and Kh is reading 20 mg/l.
I will be starting injecting CO2 in this tank with the ADA advanced system in a few days and will add more plants.

I am trying to create an ideal Crystal Red breeding tank with this setup.

Is this new setup going to work ok for crystal red shrimp breeding?
I plan on injecting 1 bubble per second of CO2 but I will also have a drop checker in this tank. I'm concerned the PH may drop to low now.
I will try to keep nitrites to zero and temp under 25C. Keeping the Temp low is the biggest concern at present.
I am waiting for the ammonia and nitrite to return to zero before adding crystal red shrimp.

Any other suggestions on optimizing this setup?

    Talking Success

    Hi forum,

I just want to announce my first pregnant crystal red shrimp!

It's a poor quality pick but I'm just very happy to have this much success so far with crystal red shrimp. It's been a struggle to create the right habitat.
I lost over half of my crystal red shrimp so far and I hope that won't matter soon.
I have learned a lot about water quality however. It feels today like I have achieved my first step in being a successful CRS keeper.

I am very grateful for the information from this site. Thanks!!!

Now if she will only keep on holding on to them! My fingers are crossed.

Thanks all, no babies yet but very soon. Bumble Bees are loving the new tank too and I have several berried as well.
I'm nervous about my snowballs but I hope to see some berries with them very soon.
I have zebra and green shrimp on the way!
I think I will need more tanks!!!
Then again I always think I need more tanks.

My laptop just crashed so I lost the e-mail address untill I get a new power supply.
He, Eugene, is working on a website.
I imagine it will be on the ADA site when he launches it.

Best I can do at the present.
