Very nice finnage, never saw anything like that so colorful either.

You may have more answers on loaches.

    Good luck!

I'm glad you guys like them.

They are the best looking Hillstream Loaches that I have seen to date and I love their personality.

Yeah they are doing just fine in my tanks. I had a few died initially but after that I have had no further losses so they must be finding enough floating thing to eat.

Great looking hillstreams you have. I love the baby, it's adorable. I have a bunch of Beaufortia kweichowensis the most commonly available type, sometimes called butterfly plecos. I like watching their hearts beating when they're against the glass.

    Thanks for sharing your pics.

    Hi GHz,

Where in the US are you located? You CAUGHT that loach that had the babies? Where? That's really neat!

So the final common name of the spotted one is Burmese loach - do you know the scientific name of that loach? I'd love to see if a LFS near me could get them.

Also, I've kept the golden clam(s) on two occasions. Each time, they died when the temperatures got too high in the summer. My tank temp was up to 82, and it caused them to die. They were really interesting until then, though. Mine eventually half-buried themselves in the substrate, and then seemed to creep around the tank - I never saw them do it, so I don't know if they did it half buried, or if they had to come back up on the surface to move. But most mornings, they would be in different places than they were at lights-out the night before.

    Nice pictures!
