    Default CRS and temperature

    Hi
    I am planning to buy CRS and i live in mumbai india and the ambient room temp here is 28-31 C during the year.

    Now my question is will CRS thrive here in mumbai ??
    As i have read some where that they need cooler temps..
    Kindly let me know..

    28C is barely pass. Best is at around 25C if you have to use a chiller. They do very well from 22C to 26C.

    In my experience, some of my CRS passed away when the tank temperature was at 28°C+. So like Silane said, please keep the temperature below 26°C. You could use 3 methods to cool your tanks:
    1. Chiller
    2. Fan
    3. Ice cube / ice cube bag.

    With such high temps I think a fan is not going to suffice... I think a chiller is a minimum requirement...

    try to keep below 26C,
    or u will waste ur $$$
