Mine needed few days to recognize commercial food as a food, then started to eat small amounts of GlasGarten Baby Shrimp, Shirakura Ebi Dama soft, GenChem White Pellet as a source of Ca and P, even Hikari Shrimp Cuisine. In small amounts, just enough to eat within an hour, delivered in the feeding dish at the bottom. Ebita Quatro 2 is popular, but I don't have it yet.
And they are picking up on the wood, sponges, moss and leaf litter in the tank. If your tank has plenty of green algae and biofilm on tank surfaces, they could use it as a food too. Plenty of surfaces for it, Bacter AE and good light 12 hrs a day seem helping its growth.
