    Default Caridina Dennerli red eyes???

    Hi everybody,

I have set up a sulawesi tank two years ago and i maintain some Cardina Dennerli. I started with 8 shrimps, and i have now 80+ shrimps in the tank.
A few month ago, i found a dennerli shrimp in the tank, with big, round, red eyes.
I found this strange and thought it was an isolated and unreproducible mutation.

However, yesterday, i found a complete subpopulation (at least 8-10 shrimps) with the exact same charcarteristics.

Here a pic (sorry for the low quality):IMG_3098.jpg
Has anybody heard about such a mutation in dennerli before?
I am hesitating to isolate some of them in another tank in order to breed them.
    Thanks for you feedbacks.

The picture can't tell properly. Do you have a macro lens to take a clearer picture?

Based on your attached picture, it looks pretty normal to me. It may be is the holder of the eye-balls that are red.

Thank you for your feedback hyoushoku.
I agree that the picture is not good, but the eyes are clearly not normal when you take a look at the shrimps in the tank. They are bigger than classic dennerli shrimps' eyes and they are completely orange/red . Normal dennerli have very small, black eyes.
I don't have a macro lens but i will try to take a better picture of both my normal and "mutated" dennerli this evening.

Very strange, i never seen that before...

Pardon me... No matter how I look at it, it still look normal. Really need a bigger and closer photo.

Below is a photo of my Cardinal and let me know does it look different from yours:
