Default All my female CRS die after the male started dancing

My 4ft shrimp planted tank have 4 new CRS female and 18 CRS new male.

Two day ago I saw the male CRS started dancing. Last night one female CRS die and this morning I found another female CRS half body being eaten. The other two female CRS went missing.

I counted 18 male CRS in the tank.

Can it be too many male CRS in the tank which result in stressing the female.

What is a good female to male ratio to keep in a tank?

Too many males can kill females because they all want to mate so bad that the female don't even has a chance to molt completely before they jump on. Less males then females is always a good thing. Enough hiding spots is also important for the females.

Thank you for the confirmation of too many male is bad for the female.

I guess I have to either add more female, provide more hiding place or remove some male shrimp from the tank.

For hiding place I have wait for the plant to grow denser or should I add some ready moss that sold in LFS.
