Default Parasite or fungus on wild caught shrimp? Please help.

Hello, I live in NSW, Australia and I caught these shrimp in a large freshwater pond.

I took the 2 largest home and they are now in a quarantine tank but there is something growing on the shell of a shrimp.

    Any idea what it is?

I was planning on putting them in my main tank with neon tetras but now I feel like returning them and getting clean ones.

Can't see easily from that picture.

Do you see the structure like stalks of hairs with round pin head on top? If yes, it is fungus. If it is cloudy slime with no clear structure, then it is bacteria. If you see the structure looks like many round structure linked together, then it is zooplankton colony.

Thanks for the reply, I returned them to the pond today, didn't want to risk it.

I will get nicer ones once the quarantine tank is cycled.
