Default Shrimps in Fish Breeding Container

    Hello,
I got some Taiwan Bees and there's one extreme red male that I really like.
In order to ensure that his genes will be passed on.. I'm thinking maybe I could use a plastic fish breeding container with a couple of females and him in it. Some moss and Akadama substrate can be added. Would that be stressful for the shrimps? How long can they stay safely in the box?

This is commonly done for selective breeding, if you don't have a tank rack.

Don't use fresh substrate. Siphon up some of the existing substrate and wash it with your tank water in a separated container. Lay about 1cm.

For the breeding container, choose something bigger and put some moss, like you mentioned, and something else for the female to hide (such as ceramic tube).

You need a tiny light to ensure some algae to grow and also activate the bacteria and microbe movement by simulating day time.
