    I don't favor Malaya as it is red color and not dark enough. Depending on the shrimps you are keeping, it will affect their color; shrimp does changes color to blend into the environment.

    it looks similar to akadama.
    i have PRL on akadama and they are Nice even if the soil is not black.

    i just ordered 2 canister filters :ecco pro 300 and 2073pro 3.

    and a bag of 9liters of malaya in order to try an other ada product.

    it as the best pH buffer of ada.
    i hope it will not ne too acid

    Yes, it contains more organic acid and it should work better with your tap. However, be aware that the salt you are adding will bring the pH further down. When you first started the tank, the pH may be as low as 5.4 (or even lower if you have driftwood), it should go up to 5.8 to 6.0 after you perform a few few major water changes.

    Let us know the result when your tank is up and running.

    the filter eheim pro3 350 is running ^^
    i also bought a ecco pro 300 to remplace the 200 for an another 100l.

    i Will put the soil today in the tank (full of water for the canister filter)
