I have some with minor yellow or pink shades, but just a fraction of your picture. That one is an example of one I would cull out at once.

Were they Always like this? Else it could be something in the water or the food maybe...

I would say it's something for further selection to yellow shrimps.

    Hi,

Well, for some unknown reason these are nice white from time to time, but Id say 90% of all time they are yellowish.
Ive got two females like this one:
    crsfemale.jpg

    And they never go yellowish....

Bought another so-called PRL and she has the yellow tint as well... will post the picture later on...
Seller claims that: "Yellow tint is random in the shrimp"

    What da hell?

ps. checked my records, shrimp in the first post is: Band Grade PRL (Grade: Low) paid 20 pounds for it.

The PRL a know for the excellent white. I think they should not sell ones with yellow tint. However, I don't think it because of golden genes, I believe they are Pure. It's just something that can happen I guess. If you don't like it, you should select only the real white ones in the offspring.
BTW, first I was like buy 10 low quality, but now I prefer one higher quality for the price of 10 less of quality. The reason is that even from high quality the offspring is most of the time not even as good as the parents. So you have to be very strict in selecting. Lower quality PRL are just cull outs. They are pure, but takes a lot of work to improve.

most annoying thing is that seller advertises shrimp WITHOUT yellow tint and sell shrimp WITH yellow tint.... Just been told by the seller that my new yellow tinted shrimp is worth 70 pounds and i paid less....

Got more info from the breeder.... All PRL offsprings may have yellow, red or WHITE tint...

Ive got PRL with red tint... she looks quite unusual.

    So, its about selection....

Looks like a PRL, but don't forget that some Crystal Red look better than some PRL. PRL = Pure Red Line Crystal Red. Not Crossed with Golden genes. So it's only about the pure genes, not about quality. Low quality PRL are possible. Most of the time they still look better than a average Crystal Red. But I've seen some high quality Crystal Red who are looking great although they were not PRL.

    Hi,

I hope this thread showed how the sellers treat their customers.
When I buy a white car i want white car - not white with yellow shadows...

Ones again tricked by sellers.... Sad...

When go online shops you will only find "pure red line" no word about shadows.

Thanks all for being very helpful!
