    I will not recommend using pH down. It is like you add SaltyShrimp that increases pH and you add another chemical to decrease. If pH is diluted acid, it will react with the carbonate in salty shrimp and becomes CO2 then the pH will plunge too much due to all the resultant are acidic.

    If pH down is sulphuric acid instead of HCL, you will cause the water tiny bit hazy.

    Actually, what is your current pH? If it stabilized at 6.7 or less, then don't change anything.

    My pH used to be around 6.0 a few months ago..during the last 2 months went up to 6.2 - 6.3 . I think I will be ok for the next few months.. Then I'll have to decide

    I always thought PH down was more a temp fix.
