Default My new Tibee pinto setup with Lowkeys products and pictures

    Hello everyone,

Long time that i posted still something, but i would like to show my new setup.
I bought for this Tibee pinto shrimps a aquael shrimpset 30L.
The tank comes with a mechanical sponge filter 4W, heater without controller 15W and lightfixture+lamp 11w, No led this time.

I did some DIY and took only the powerhead from the spongefilter and attached this to another spongefilter.
The spongefilter i also connected to the undergravelfilter ,like you see on the picture.
Hoping to bennefit of the both ways of filtering. On top of the UGF im putting a ceramic what is partial made of zeolite.
The ceramic have to prevent the clogging of the UGF.

The products what i bought for substrate are Shrimp sand from Aqua art.
And Speed sand and black master 2 from the Japanese shrimp breeder LOWKEYS Osaka.
Speed sand is a grey powder what contains bacterial cultures and help cycling the soil with micro-organisme what are needed for the shrimps.
The black master 2 is a product what helps keeping your ph stabelizing and does not melt. It will keeps your soil last longer.
The black master are dark brown colored little balls. You can see on the picture that they are a little bigger in size then the Shrimp sand.

The Speed sand i put under the soil over the half of the tank in the front, this and a little bit over the ceramic.
This to prefent that everithing will be sucked up by the UGF.

For decoration i have choosen to give the dragon stones a change and see how this will look in combination with the mosses and plants.
For a moment this is how the setup looks.
I will fill up the the tank with a mixture of osmose water and Salty shrimp GH+ minerals.
In a few days i will measure the water and will post how the results look.

For so far the beginning of the setup, in a few days i will be posting further results.
