    Default CRS: Food for thoughts

    Hi all,

What food do you feed your CRS with? I had tried some of the pellets available in Singapore LFS. So far CRS favorite is still Hikari's Crab Cuisine. I had been forcing them to eat Japanese brand Shirakura. Heard that Hikari is coming up with new pellets for CRS.

Some brief reviews on what my CRS like. They are choosy!

    A - Argo Crusta Tabs
    CRS don't like it.

B - Unknown Japanese brand from local LFS
Lousy pellets, float on the surface of the water. Not recommended!

    C - Hikari's Algae Wafers
    CRS don't like it.

    D - Hikari's Crab Cuisine
So far this is their favorite.

    E - Japanese brand Shirakura
Will take it if they have nothing to eat.

I wonder if all CRS behavior the same when it comes to food.

These are the food I feed to my CRS, they seem do not have any special preference, they are alway hungry for food.

Thank for sharing your experience on the Unknown Japanese brand food, I was thinking how this food can suit both top feeder and bottom feeder.

Previously, they don't like Hakari Crab and Green Algae Wafer, now they take everything I throw in.

Here is another brand of Japanese CRS food, Evolution, it is plant based. Hobbyists believe plant based food make a better food for CRS. Will be getting hold of a bottle to test it out soon.

    Hi Silane,

Thanks for sharing. I will test out the Hikari's CRS once I get my hands on it.

    Cheers!

    Hi Silane,

Got "zoom" in views for the other two bottles next to the Algae Wafers?

    Hi All,
My shrimps are not choosy. I feed them with Baxter Hi Color Fish Feed that cost abt $12.50 for 380ml and Aquori Flakes Veggie Delight that cost $2.50 50g and sometime TetraBits or Novo Bits as I kept discus fish. Don't over feed them and they will not be choosy.Hope these will help. Rdgs
