Yesterday I bought and added Micranthemum micranthemoides, it was OK. But today afternoon I say "black algae" on it. It looks like cyanophytes(blue-greens) but is not green. Very soft and dense net on the surface of plants. What to do with that? should it be harmful for shrimps or plats?

Gr81, are you by any chance talking about cyanobacteria? If you are, some people say their shrimp gladly eat it, others say they ignore it. My personal experience is, my shrimp love it. Is it this dark stuff on the fake plant?:

From what I understand, you only have to worry about cyanobacteria is it's overtaking your tank - I'm not exactly clear on what it does, like gives off something noxious if in large quantity?

Thanx for reply,
yes, seem to be that.
I removed all affected and it seem to no other attacks:)
Is there a chance to "cure" affected plants? I don't want it in my tanks :undecided
