Do they climb out of tanks ?

Anentome helena? no, never. They just stay in water. They use to dig a few and to get burried sometimes, but they'll show up soon, when they felt hungry. They are beautiful and they have an amazing biology, if you can keep some of them, I reccomend, you won't regret :D

Well, they tolerate quite well soft water as long as pH is neutral. If pH is acidic they'll need more calcium apport or their shell will be damaged. Like melanoides and other snails, the first shell injuries you'll notice are in its apex; anyway it's often worn away in oldest snails; this is my oldest one:

The only reason they will climb out of your tank is if there is something wrong with the water parameters.
