One of my tiger shrimp became blue based. Is that rare? :)

Hi,

is your shrimp like the one on the third last pic here (http://www.shrimpnow.com/modules.php?name=Content&file=viewarticle&id=9) ?

I don't think it is really rare. I bought tiger shrimps a few month ago and half of them was blue based.

A tinge of blue in tiger shrimp is not uncommon; however, normally there isn't as much blue as shown in that pic.

Mine is almost as blue as that, but it does not have the darker blue colour on top like in the pic. Mine's darker blue is in the head, and then lighter blue behind.. :p

I guess its not surprising that it is not rare, because I only bought 2 and one of them has this blue base. They both looked the same when they were unstable in the lfs.. only when it became stable did the colour come out.. :)
