Some pictures from my blue perl tank. They have become my favorite species.

Nice blue, for how long have you been keeping your Blue Pearls? Can you clarify your tank set up? Thanks!

I do not remember exactly, but I think soon it will be a year.
They live in the tap water of Tel Aviv, which are known to be hard at ~900 us. temperatures ranged from 18 celsius to 30 and they were fine, but between 28-30 celsius the colors look less nice on them I think.

However, I keep some with black crystals in completely different conditions (soft and colder water) and they keep the nice blue, but the shade changes a little I think, however, it might be the effect of a brown substrate instead of the black one.

I noticed the color becoming stronger with age, and a little cyclical, so before molting it is strongest and after molting it is less strong for 2 days.

Dark ground is the best for blue pearls to show nice colours.
Thanks for sharing.

I love my Pearls also. Very hard to get pics of them. They seem more active that others.

I think this as well, they have a different character than the cherries.
