This is an Awesome DIY Lighting, Thanks for sharing. One question, the yellow material that you have used on the side, what is that?

Would be great if you can put up some more info on things like measurements (if possible) , How did you manage to bend the sheet in a perfect way etc, Thanks.

Hi Seetharam

The yellow material is mica, I use 502 glue to stick them together.

measurements, I think it is depend on your tank size.

How did you manage to bend the sheet in a perfect way etc,

I use this one us a mold to bend it.

That is an amazing DIT light. I wish I could do something like that.

Unfortuinatly I have a cat whogets into EVERYTHING so I have to have tight fitting lids on all my tanks and have the filters taped shut. But your light is beautiful.

Impressive CHU CUOI. If you can upgrade the fan in the fixture and add splash guard to cover the bulb, it look better. You are a pro DYI master.

WOW!!! Hats off to your DIY Skills

Could you give more details on the way you have made this? What is the material you have used? for the sides and cover? Looks like it bends easily into shape.

looks cool! made it all yourself? looks very detailed and professional in my opinion  but didn't made some LED lights in it? Had it in my tank, red and blue LED strips for some kind of night/moon light idea, don't know if it has some effect but it looks cool :D

Great project, you are quite a handyman!!!
I dont understand what mica material is it this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mica ?
or is it called something else, plastic tables or plexiglass materials are very expensive
