does anyone regularly patt down their moss?

I do this once a week and find alot of fine debris floats off it with each patted stoke, i use the back of a long pair of planting tweezers to achieve this! this wont clear all the debris, but will leave enough for your shrimps to graze on.

why i do this, its because I been told and found that a lot of different types of algae including BBA, will form when this debris builds up to a critical point.

so do you guy maintain your mosses like this?

once a week with water changes, majority of this is shrimp poop.
