not to worry
its a layer of protein cause by plants that give them out
it looks like an layer of oil
get some floating plants and that should solve your problem
it isnt harmful to shrimps

Hi there, so is it harmful to the shrimps? Or it wont harm them. Just another bacteria....

The biofilm itself is not dangerous.
When the surface is totally closed there is no/not enough gas exchange what can cause problems.
