Gday All,

I was wanting to know what every one over seas is feeding there Nerite Snails.
Mine eat a lot of different food.

I also wanted to know if there some thing special for Snails.

They cannot do well in acidic water. Their shell get corroded and they dont grow in acidic water.

If you keep them in brackish water where they belong, you can see them grow and their corroded shell get repaired.

Where I collect them from is drinkable freshwater, I always add Coral pieces to there tank and they do well for me. Breeding them is a different story, we are how ever trying, I can get them to form a sort of shell and no further. Cant do photos as my camera is not good enough, yet.

So what do you guys and galls feed them over seas ??? I use Sera Viformo a lot.

When I had my olive nerites they ate my homemade snail biscuits but I have them in a Co2 injected tank so they died.:cry:

I planing on getting some more here soon and they will be going in my 5.5 gallon El Natural tank. The GH in this tank it 10DGH so I think they should do fine.
