I think you guessed right... looks like pellia to me, which isn't a moss, but a liverwort.

It is Pellia! :)

Scientist name for Pellia is Monosolenium tenerum, Pellia is another terrestrial liverworts genus.

You can take care, there is a newly introduced plant commonly named round pellia or Susswassertag, really is a kind of fern, specifically is the gametophyte of a fern from the genus Lomaripsis. Looks like this...

will it grow well on some stainless steel mesh?:bs_help:

Sure, even this liverwort does not float, and you will only need to tie to rocks or wood easily.

I have "SŁŖwassertang" (Lomariopsis lineata) in one of my shrimp tanks. I just tied it to rock with cotton. It grows in most light conditions. Shrimp love to pick over it.

Looks like a type of pelia to me as well!

People would buy it for a lot :SS. But even that small piece will grow. Takes a bit of time and doesn't require co2. I have a lot of it in my 29 gallon and whenever some falls off the main plant it continues to grow. So I had a lot of bunches as well as the main plant.

What you can do is tied and secured tightly the Pelia to DW or Lava rock. Once it flourished, the Pelia will be very nice looking and break out the shape of your DW.

This is pellia moss. You should tight it on a mango or stone. It grows pretty fast. And it is easy to care.
