First time I heard to speak about Riccia rehnana was in this post (http://www.shrimpnow.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1753).
Thinking about I have been watching my tanks and Riccia which grows into.
I counted 3 kind of them, some pictures:

First one, grows as regular Riccia fluitans, floating in the surface.

Second one grows mixed with moss, and grow up to get the surface.

Third one grows sunk and looks quite little and thin.

I have not idea about which is which... So I have a friend who is a Briophytologist, and I will send some of every kind to try ID them.

Keep us posted. Riccia, as with most plants, takes on different shapes in different conditions. If you tie down the riccia that is floating, you will notice it grows differently submerged and away from the light. Same as if it is shaded vs. direct bright light.
I'm not saying yours are not different species, just do not be surprised if 2 out of 3 are ;)
