Tiger roof male crossed with TWB (KK, Panda, winered, K14, hybrid). This test is the first step so I did not have much experience. Expects to receive from your share.

Hi Akieu64,

I have experiences in crossing them.

Firstly, make sure your water is at 6dGH and have plenty of minerals, or your OEBT will drop it's blue color or maybe die. The Taiwan Bee can live in both soft and medium-soft water, thus it is fine.

Actually, the first generation off spring will look funny and ugly. You will need to have more than one tank to perform selective breeding? Based on my past experience, it is higher chance for female tiger to breed with male Taiwan Bee. However, they need to be in the same tank for 3 to 5 months before they get comfortable with each other. Once you have the offspring, you will usually get two types; (if you breed female OEBT with male Taiwan Bee) one that has normal eyes with more white stripes (male) and the other with orange eyes with transparent and blue stripes (female). Depending on what is the end results you want, you will have to separate the two types for selective breeding.

Hi hyoushoku.

Thanks for your sharing.
The end result is that I find Pinto, I want to make one diagram with Tiger cross between male (female TWB) to selective breeding process over the lifetime f.
F1 track them for the remaining 70% babi is TWB (30% of the tiger) babi entirely with black eyes.
The next process, according to how you go to the right direction. Looking forward to receiving a share from you.

I have yet to achieve the pattern of Pinto. Thus, may not be able to advise you which path to go.

Based on my experience and on the breeding theory, F1 should have 100% Tiger and 0% Taiwan Bee. This is due to the common denominator of both gene. That's why, F1 will look very ugly. By the way, Pinto shrimp does exhibit more Tiger behaviour than Taiwan Bee (such as digging substrate deeply and the blue hue is like Blue/Black Diamond instead of Black Kong Kong). Thus, I am suspecting they may need to keep breeding back with Blue/Black Diamond to get the full blue color first and after that, inter-breed to get more white.

For me right now, I'm crossing Blue & Black Diamond with Blue Both Mosura and Black King Kong. Not sure what the final result I can get. Furthermore, I'm not those hardcore breeder, I just let nature take it's course with occasional selective breeding. Maybe I will let you know the result few months to a year later.

Currently in Vietnam there is one of the members of the China hybrid cross between a male Tiger (female bee shrimps) for the Tibee. Lai to life f5, f6 Tibee they get crossed with the male (female TWB) is just one cross saw the emergence of Pinto.
I want to go to another they upgrade the final version to see what direction than standard.
Thanks for your sharing.

Interesting... In theory, F6 Tibee with Taiwan Bee will get F1 or F2 appearance.

Let me know in future when you successfully breed them.

By the way, just to show you the look of F1, below are the picture a male and a female:

Like I mentioned, it will look very ugly in the beginning and you need patient to breed out better patterns.
