• Neocaridina palmata var. blue pearl (Blue Pearl Shrimp)

    English name: Blue Pearl Shrimp
Scientific name: Neocaridina cf. palmata var. blue pearl (formerly zhangjiajiensis var. blue)
    Origin: breeder in germany
    Size male/female: 2.5 cm / 3 cm or 1 inch / 1,2 inch
    Water temperature: 18 - 28 C or 64 - 82 F
    Water Parameters: pH 6.5 - 7.5
High or low breeding form: high
    Behaviour: non-agressive
    Difficulty: easy
They are more light blue but the color is stable . The intensity is depending on the mood.
"Saddle" and eggs are brown. Its a prolific species but selective breeding is still needed to get better colors.
These shrimps are more colorfull and can get older in colder water around 22 C / 72 F.
    My experience on this species:
Blue pearl shrimps can live in a wide range of water parameters.
They are showing better colors on black gravel.
    Nothing special.
